V6 brake upgrade

Well seeing as my brakes will need sorting soon I'm looking at fitting larger discs. I'm a little confused as to which path to go down and after checking a few sites I'm still no futher forth on which way to go.

My Cally has the later 288mm discs and is fitted with 17's. My budget isn't great but would like something that would improve braking and help fill the large gap behind my wheels.

Could I get larger calipers from another larger engined Vaux or what is the best kit to go for

Will I see a good improvement by only increasing by 20mm

oh yes I found them to be so much better than the 288's, less fade too and you can run them on standard pads and still get great performance

On the down side though peeps - the carrier brackets are currently out of stock and no longer made at the minute. LMF are desperately trying to source them elsewhere but so far, no luck.

I too have these on mine and they were/are a great improvement. I only know about the stock issue as I attempted to get another set to fit to Emma's turbo.

Sorry to hi-jack the thread, but i have the 308 discs on mine and also have the Hi-Spec Billit4 4 pot calipres on mine with green stuff pads.

Question is when i have to renew the pads can i just use normal green stuff or do i have to get them without the 3 pronged spring on the back of the pads?
