Rear brake calipers - how many variables?

Bit confused on this one.

Ordered some exchange calipers from Autovaux several weeks ago. First off they sent a set of calipers one of which looked like it must of been sat on a car rusting for years and was badly damaged. Autovaux agreed to replace it and sent another one out but when I went to fit it I noticed it had a different size piston. Autovaux again agreed to replace it but were a little confused as it had the same part number. The third they sent out was correct and after painting them both up I fitted them.

I ordered new pins and anti vibration clips (if thats what their called) from vauxhall and when fitting tonight I notice that the pin gap on one caliper is 46mm compared to the other which is 50mm. Neither the pads or anti vibration clips fit the 46mm gap.

I cant believe that vauxhall would make two exact calipers with different pins gaps. Im thinking rather than change the capier that I find out which car it is from and buy pads, clips to suit as I dont think autovaux would accept a red one back. It might be a pain in the future when ordering new pads though. Anyone know what it would be from?

This is effectively the wrong one.

Very annoyed and wished I had just used my existing ones now

so you're saying the open width across from pad to pad is different, hmm

The blue lines represent the pins holding the pads in position, the length between these shown in green is different on each caliper. Autovaux have agreed to return them but it just means having to paint another one up :x
