Soggy handling SE2 - What to do?

Any issues relating to suspension, steering and brakes.

Had my SE2 since December, but it handles like a barge, the bodyroll is really quite high and a few times the back has wanted to step out. It feels anything but safe sometimes...

BTW I'm not a boy racer so I'm not expecting too much from the handling B)

The guy I bought it from said it had "Sports springs" but had no more info than that. It doesnt look lowered. I was just wondering what the best remedy was?

Is it that its probably on its original 13 year old 130k+ shocks and springs and that they're just tired and worn, or do I need an upgrade or some sort and if so what

Thanks guys in advance

This looks standard height to me...

I would disagree. It may be standard springs.
My Calibra had standard shocks and springs, but looked lowered.

I replaced with performance shocks and standard springs. The ride hight went up, looked terrible! Body roll was still bad.

I bought turbo performance springs. It bought the car back to a good ride hight, and the handling is astonishing (for a Calibra). Point and turn at almost any speed.

When you fit springs, you have to up-rate the shocks if you want a better ride.

dunno if thats all but it does indicate that your cars probably been crashed at some stage to get a replacement front bumper

Maybe he just reeeeeally liked headlamp washers? ;)

Ok, so your idea is more likely lol

Maybe it was down to the handling and the back stepped out ;)

check that the rear springs are seated correctly as that has been known to happen or one may have broken, my car has done 201K miles on its original shocks and springs and still handles superbly
