How low can i go?
Guys and Gals,
My new V6 need lowering big time, am going to put just springs on at the mo and in summer time when i save some cash dot he full suspension!!
but for now how low can i take it on 17"'s and wheres the best place to get springs from?
Also will it affect the automatic transmission if i lower it or will it be fine?

Since you have no 4x4 you can go as low as you're brave enough to try. Hold on, that was awful English. Anyway, it shouldn't affect anything really - but you'll risk grounding the bumpers, exhaust etc; and the ride will be pretty harsh after 40mm. [img]/smile.gif[/img]

I'd recommend Eibach V6 springs with an alleged 30 mm drop (~£150).
I have had no problems with mine apart from a tiny bit of outer wheel arch liner rub on the fronts. No probs with rubbing fuel lines and it still gets over all of the speed humps in my area without contact.
You can get away with just replacing springs and leaving the stock shocks but you really should change the shocks at the same time. If you don't fancy Konis then go for Bilstein fixed height shocks - these are a reasonable match for the Eibachs and are cheaper than Konis.
With a good set of aftermarket springs and shocks you should notice a significant improvement in V6 handling. Inevitably the ride will be slightly more harsh.
