Cav springs on a calibra?

by Phil » Tue Dec 06, 2005 2:42 pm

Hi,

I'm sure this has been asked a million times, so I apologise now!!
Do Cavalier springs fit onto the Calibra as a straight swap?

Some advertised say not for 2.0l model? Will these not fit the 2.0l 8v Calibra either?

Please help me!!!!!!!!

Cheers.

Fronts will, rears will also but they car will sag at the back IIRC.

Basically you'll be ok for the front, but the rear won't be level.

You will be ok if the springs are off a caviler with IRS. ie gsi and 4x4.

So a description like this could mean they fit???
----------------------
Front and rear 35mm lowering springs for Mk3 Cavalier and Vectra (not 2.0Ltr) models.
Made by H & R springs, new in box never been fitted.
----------------------

What's IRS?? Sorry to be thick!!

Okay, urgently....
The guy has contacted me back, and I have confirmed that the springs were bought for a 1.8 vectra.
He said that it stated on the order form that they also fitted the cav, but not 2.0L

So will these work?

Also, I had severe arch rubbing on a 40mm drop, does a 5mm difference to 35mm drop make much difference or will it still rub do you think.

Many thanks everyone!

the 1.8 had a solid rear bar, so dont think that they will fit

Even the vectra? The bloke seemed to think it was IRS.
Anyway price gone up to far now, so it's back to the searching!
Plus I think I'd be happier with a 30mm drop only.

Thanks for your help though.
