Camber Bushes Fitting

Any issues relating to suspension, steering and brakes.

Have a word with a company called SUPERTYRES in Maldon. It's only about half an hour down the A130, then Through Danbury, and you're there. It's next door to the fire station, just off the Morrison's roundabout where they're building a massive new Vaux/ Saab dealership. They do wheels, tyres, and 4-wheel laser alignment, so give them a call, and they should be able to fit them and set it all up properly for you. I always use them for tyres, the owner's a really nice guy.

Hope this helps!!!!

What is a camber correction kit, why is it fitted and what does it do. I ask out of curiosity.

when you lower the rear of the calibra and cavaliers with irs the camber is to much. basicly the top of the tyre tilts inwards. instead of being 1 degree from vertical as it should be it goes up to 4 degrees (depending on how much you have lowered) this means you are running on the inner edge of the tyre and not the whole width. good for racing if set up properly but not for road use.

ahhh. I have a slight noticable tilt on my rears but not noticed any wear on the tyres though

you should have a slight tilt but not really noticable.

Rotate the tyres front to back and you double the time they last. Then if they aren't directional you can flip them all round to double the time again.

Should see 20k per set no problem.

What about that new VXR performance place
<a href="http://www.vxrperformance.co.uk/perf_centre/index.html" target="_blank">http://www.vxrperformance.co.uk/perf_centre/index.html</a>

I guess it wont be cheap but it's not strictly a vauxhall place with it being a joint venture with triple8
I believe it's based in luton so not to far.

What about Uncle Tom's in Rochford?

Tony and Barry are nice guys and generally will have a go at most things, you may remember Tony Fells, he had a Cav GSI in Fastcar back in the day (around 1995/6) he knows his onions.

Regal.....No....Courtney.....No

If i cant find someone decent to do it,ie who has the proper equipment to set it up then im not gonna bother, will just have to rotate the tyres as chav has said, and suffer it.

get anyone to install it then set it up yourself. you're going to want maximum camber ajustment tbh.. so just set it to that, then get it verified at your local laser alignment place.

i did mine myself. i took the arms off removed the bushes and placed the powerflex ones in. and then got the garage to adjust them for me.
