AntiRoll Drop Links
AntiRoll Drop Links
Hi,
Im after some new front drop links for my 1995 M-Reg Cally. I hear there is 2 different sizes? One shorter and one longer....
Not sure which I need? i've heard the later ones are better?
Is this one ok to buy? or is this the weaker one?

not a hard job to do worst thing is getting the old ones off but make sure you get the correct diameter if its the older type- turbo and V6 larger diameter (20 or 22mm)
never fitted newer type but with the older type you need to make sure the wishbone is at the correct angle when tightening or the drop link will snap if overtightened

Ok this may sound a stupid question but where is this meaurement for the two different sizes taken from? I've measured the hole in the wishbone, the dia of the thread on the drop link, the nut size, the height of the link.... etc etc. And nothing seems to tie up with the figures people have been saying... (20-22mm)
Help Please......:frown:

well you need to find out first what type of antiroll bar link you have. If its the late type one, then the measurements doesn't matter as they fit differently to the earlier ones.
If you have the earlier push on type, then as said above, you need to measure the diameter of the antiroll bar itself. Its the same diameter all the way through. SO measure it anywhere you can see the bar.
If too confusing, post a pic of YOUR antiroll bar link here, then one thats already on the car
Cheers

I'm pretty sure they changed from the push on ones to the later type after 1993, so the ones on ebay there should be right for you. I bought the wrong type when I was doing mine, so I have 1 (not a pair) of these you can have off of me for £6 including postage, pm me if you're interested.
