I have a set of front struts in the shed and I need to get the springs off (25mm lower ones) can I just undo them or will they fly off, will I need a compressor.

should really have a spring compressor or failing that some other way of stoping them from going ping [img]/smile.gif[/img]

use a spring compressor unless you want to loose an eye

they're pretty easy to get hold of most places will hire them out for the weekend

did mine with 2 bits of rope and a couple of spanners, worked for me

its not the safest way admitted but im a bit of a nutter when it comes to cars, do as the others say, get some spring compressors.
