bearing rumble?

I have a loud rumble from the offside front of my car, it didnt have it when i bought it (only had it a month) i got it mot'd and it passed, but the rumble gets louder when i turn left. Anyideas what it could be? in my opinion, it sounds like the bearing, but why would it pass the mot? it got LOADS of advisorys so why would they pass this?!
