gonna lower the calibra by 35mm and am looking at eibach springs but was wondering if the spax springs are any good or is it worth paying the extra for the eibachs?

aha good old Spax ....all the rage in my days but like most things have been overtaken by other newer names, would think they are still as good as any others out there...or even better

i used to have a set of 35mm on my old nova sr and the car handled great but like fraz said you may have to go with the better makes.

Oh I am not saying they are in any way inferior

just that they have been on the go for a long time, and where used in almost every rally car in the 70's along with Bilstein make which are slightly better IMHO

Spax on a Calibra are good, but not as good as Gmax or Avo in my experience. The drop is quite hefty (-35mm was more like -60mm!)

Gmax -40mm springs on my V6

No complaints and no problems.

"edit"
changed to the right size springs.

Do you need the strut's to match for a -40mm drop? was quoted £180- for a set of G-Max spring's fitted to drop the car 40mm but dont want to have it done if you need the struts as well

Same here ... but with a 40mm drop on shocks and springs.
