They came off a 16v, so if they were the right ones for that, then they are wrong for the V6 as I understand it.

Would never fit second hand suspension (that you don't know the history of) to a car.

The Koni site lists one part number for 16v / V6 / turbo...

AFAIK all makes of shocks are the same for 16v and V6, it's the springs which are different

I've spoken to Paul Drake at Koni and the difference between the suspension kits are the springs as hoglabs has stated. This is due to the kerb weights and the difference in weight of the various engines, 4 x 4 systems etc.

Also, the Koni kit for Calibra's and Cavaliers don't have koni springs in 'em and they are an aftermarket spring kit put together by a third party. Most importantly they are not guaranteed by Koni...........

Hope this helps............

If you don't have the cash for Koni's, I would recommend KYB Gas-a-just shocks, they are nearly as good IMO, and cost ALOT less.

I have KYB's on my car, and I'm very happy with them. (Until my roll bar links decided to seperate themselves from the wishbones that is... )

lol only got the rear shocks on so far but they are awesome. I wasn't going to change the suspension, but I've decided to go for the engine swap, and a 3.0 with F28 and nitrous is going to need some suspension to try and keep it all under control!
