ARRRRRRRGHHH help!!!!

My callys been knocking and creaking for months now and i can solve it,
it doesn't knock when driving in a straight line until i touch the brake (but only when goin slowly)and knocks when i turn or reverse and turn
the knock and creak are coming from the front passenger side or that general area. iv'e had it up on ramps and nothing seems to have any excessive play in it.
This is wot iv'e done so far;
1. new lower arms( both sides)
2. new anti roll bar link arm ( passenger side)
3. new passenger side outer c.v joint
4. new top mount ( passenger side)
5. new track rod ends ( both sides)

its at a garage now and has just passed an MOT but they are unsure about the knock, thats the second garage that hasn't known

the noise is doing my fu**ing head in
please help before i go insane
thanks

did u get the tracking done after doing the track rod ends. this is what caused the noise in mine but i needed to get it tracked afterwards to stop the noise completely. http://www.clubcalibra.net/forum/showthread.php?t=15569

sounds like a dead cert C.V. joint if you ask me, knocks (maybe once on taking up drive / releasing drive) and knocks like f**k if your turning...... but what do i know.......

Are you sure its not the abs cutting in when you brake as this sometimes happens if your going slowly

well the garage has just called me and said its sorted, he said that one of the back screws on the lower arm was slightly loose and that they need to be really tight.
im not really convinced but im off to pick it up now so ill see, the last garage i went to put a new top mount on and said it was sorted and it was no better!

he's only chargin me for the MOT anyway so if it is still shagged at least he hasnt charged me loads for the priveledge

thanks for the replys, ill let u know if its sorted
to be continued............

well i picked my car up and it IS sorted wooooohoooooooooooo!!!!!!!
and it passed the MOT all he had to to was adjust the head light aim, so im well chuffed now that its not knockin.
On the other hand this means that changing the cv joint (£30) and having another garage put a new top mount in did sod all

The MOT say that my rear brake disks will need doing, rear suspension bushes replacing and that one rear shock is damp, so i suppose they'll be next on the list

My engine management light had kept comin on so i bought the part (cam shaft sensor) since ive bought it the bloody light hasnt come on. I think coz ive given the sensor a good poke and a wiggle maybe it was just a loose connection,so if the light dosn't come on again by sat i'll take the (£43) sensor back to Mr. vauxhall,
i no longer with to kill my cally!

if you join the club proper then you'll get tradeclub discount (among other benefits) on loads of genuine parts including that sensor. iirc it could have cost you £35
