Fault code- Wastegate valve Low voltage?

after running a paperclip diagnostic, and refering to my calibraneese translation book, my cally told me this-
31 Engine RPM signal (crankshaft sensor) No signal
what does this mean? my RPM dial still works. id imagine the sensor shouldnt be too expensive to replace, but id guess it will be hellishly difficult to get to. is this a job for the professionals?
i also got-
117 Wastegate valve Low voltage
though i was thinking of having the turbo re-conditioned in a few months as my dump valve has a little oil seeping out. will this fault cause major problems till then?
my temp sender is duff too, but i already knew that

FOr the crankshaft signal error, is cos your engine is not runnig when you doing the test. Start the engine and you won't get this code. If you still get the code, with engine running, then you have a problem.
As for the wastegate, not too sure, but could it be your charge pressure control vavle as its the only electronic item between the turbo and the ecu.
