C25xe tuning chip in a X25XE

Just a quick question,

I've got a tuning chip from when I had my V6 Cavalier which had the c25xe engine fitted would the chip fit into the x25xe managment system fitted to my Calibra as I know the ECU systems are the same but with addition of the secondary air circulation system

It will be a different ECU from the C25XE and the chip might cause immobiliser problems.

Good point didn't think of that as the car has a after market alarm.

I thought the C25XE and X25XE used the same managment system.

So how do people get round the immobilser set-up when they chip there ECU

As far as i know there are 3 ECU's used in the V6 from 1994 to 1998 and ive never seen a chip for the X25XE ECU, seen plenty of re-map chips for earlier V6's but not for the last ones.

As for getting around the immobiliser set up i don't think you can, hence it causing problems if you fit it.
