Calibra dash bulb failure lights

by vauxhall nutter » Sat May 26, 2007 1:05 pm

Hi All,
Its Mark from the VODC here, I have a member who has written to me saying that he has replaced the front sidelight bulbs but the bulb failure light inside the car is still illuminated. I have just read the other post on this subject so does anyone think that this could be the same problem (bad earth)?

Any suggestions gratefully received.

Cheers
Mark

Stupid question time...Are the bulbs working and what type has he fitted? I'm only asking because I fitted led's to my sidelights and although they worked perfectly the warning light still comes on. Swapped them back to standard one's and the light went out?

i don't think the front side lights are part of the bulb warning system, i have led's in mine and the warning light has never come on. afaik dip beam, all 4 tail lights and brake lights are the only ones covered.

btw, who are the VODC?

Calibra wise no i dont think the front sidelights are, just the rear sidelights x4 and front dipped..

Is this a calibra then?

Assuming all these lights are working it is possible for them to be "poorly" and still bring on the light. check the bulbs are all the same rating etc.
