Coolant check control light won't go off

Just a minor niggle really. The light was off until I checked the coolant level last week and since I've put the cap back on the light has come on and stayed on - is there a knack to it? I've tried a different sensor (from scrappy) and the light is still on.

could be both duff sensors as they do fail fairly often.

make sure the float is free to move and there isnt a break in the wireing

have you checked the float is moving up and down freeley it could be stuck at the bottom and not rising with the coolant
