Help, 3 problems have risen!

Ok guys, thought all was going smooth until I returned home from work today. The other half uses the car while I'm away as it's a long drive to work. Anyway, got home and she said there is a problem with the boot lock? I always used the central locking to open shut the boot, some times manually without a problem, but it's now stopped. You have to play around with the key now and after a little while you can get the boot open. Looked into the boot and the central locking mechanism wasn't moving in/out, so took out the metal rod and it started working. So I believe something has gone wrong with the locking housing that the key turns?

Also, the window washers have stopped working, think it's the motor as you normally hear it whirring when water is spraying the front/rear window, now there's nothing, could it be something else? Checked the fuses and all seem okay, don't know which one controls the washers, not clear in the book!

Finally, never had a real problem with the abs but now the abs fault light is now coming on. The other half took the car to the garage to get the alarm looked at and they disconnected the battery. Don't know if this has caused the abs light to come on? As I said it doesn't come on all the time but after a little drive it pops up. Switch the ignition off and it's gone, only to come on again later? Am I right in thinking that the abs has to be taught again, think I remember reading on one of the threads that it has to?

Any suggestions on all the above would be more than welcome.

Not to sure about the boot lock, but i'd be interested to know what the solution is as mine sometimes doesn't unlock with the C/L.
If the washer pump has stopped making any noise at all, i would investigate the wiring, as normally when they break they continue to make the whiring noise but dont pump. I don't think there is a fuse for that system.
As for the ABS, it could be a few things. Easier to flash up the code than start guessing what it might be (<a href="http://www.topbuzz.co.uk" target="_blank">www.topbuzz.co.uk</a> just incase you are not aware of this trick)

1 down 2 to go!

Well managed to suss out the boot lock problem. When I looked into the boot where the lock is situated I could see that when pressing the c/l on my fob the solenoid was moving but not in the way it should ie should push the rod across to open the lock. Took the metal rod off and tested the solenoid and it worked perfectly. Took the lock housing out and noticed that the metal plate that the rods are attached to was stiff and not moving, it should freely move in a circular motion. There is a plastic ring which holds the spring and mount to the housing which had moved from it's fitted location. Pressed it firmly back into place and rotated it back to it's original position and refitted the lock. I now have a fully working c/l
