Is it my aerial or just where I am (never had the problem before though..) I like the radio and getting a bit miffed at why I loose reception alot even in area's that I had no problem before, the connector at the back of the radio's fine...and so is the radio!

Does it happen to all stations, (not pick anything up at all) The aerial wire itself is only one strand thick @ 0.10mm. Thats a Knats Bo**ock in everyday terms and common to break.

The ariel base is a powered amplifier, they are prone to failure leading to poor reception

Not usually all of them but they all quite alot break up and/or get very faint...so it sounds like the amp under the aerial base them....I remeber seeing them on fleabay I'll have another look.
