Sunroof closure with windows on key

by richardworrall » Thu May 04, 2006 10:01 pm

Can the sunroof be wired up to work with the window closure operation from the key in the door lock. Fed up of remembering ive left the roof open after getting out the car and having to put key in ignition etc etc

you need to hold the key in the `halfway` lock position till they close before clicking the lock to deadlock

hold the key at 45 degrees to the left and the windows will close. To do this using a remote you need a 3rd party alarm installing, toad full closure or vauxhall aftermarket jobbie (cant remember what the damn things called tho).

I know that Skorpian alarms used to do a really good kit too that included full closure on the remote AND remote starting all for the measy price of 100 squids. One of my workmates kitted his car out with one recently, an Astra GTE mkII.
For the remote start you need your spare key transponder in the car somewhere...taped up behind the dash to enable it to work and the steering lock needs to be "modded" (or broken if you prefer the correct technical jargon lol.)
I'll get a contact number for them at work tomorrow and check if its still available and what money their at.
