trip computer

just reading how to fit a fuel trip computer on the post on hear and i have a m reg v6 and ive been and had a look for the yellow plug behind glove box and i cant find it but the air bag is in the way anddoesnt help, ive got the plug under hand break lver thats there so will that mean ive definately got that yellow one there some where behind glove box because id love to fit a trip computer

I would imagen that if you have one you will have the outher. All I will say is good luck finding it, by the time I had finnershed doing mine, my remaining fingers where bleading through all the scratchs and cuts I recieved. And yes, it is well tucked away it took me well over 5 hours to find.

if you have the volt and oil gauges, remove them. There are 2 "tongues" either side in the apature. Pull the left hand one nearest the glovebox and the yellow plug should be behind there. It will probably be tied in place and theres very little slack. You'll have to keep trying til you can reach it and wangle it into place [img]/smile.gif[/img]

On mine I had the yellow plug but not the cable to the centre console for the switch. Had to wire one in myself and lock into the wires in the passenger footwell.

on my v6 i was fully wired for it
