removing pins from connector block?
is it possible to remove the female pins from a connector block or do you just have to cut the cables and fit new females then move it to another plastic block.
the connector block type im on about is the 9-pin type, in my case the hazard switch female block. i need to move the cables from this to another black plastic block which suits the new position for my hazard switch better.
ive removed the yellow retaining clip from the block but the wires and females pins still wont pull out of the block. ideas?

ya the hazard switch pulls out,its the black plastic block thats behind that though that the wires are held into by metal pins. need to move these pins to another plastic block. (theres a double block over on the right hand side of the steering wheel where i need the hazard light moved to. one side of the double block is the headlight adjuster, other one block is free. so just makes sense to move the pins to this as the double block is held firmly in this position)

tanx for the reply fraz. looking at the plastic block from the front. there is a plus sign "+" shape to the hole. the male pin on the hazard switch itself is a slot shape "|" and fits into the female pin which is a double slot say "||" so there is space either side. i tried pushed sumthin down either side of the female pin to squeeze it as such but it didnt seem to budge, i tried this fairly hard but didnt wana pull the cable outa the pin. this what u mean?
