<!--QuoteBegin-callymental+--><div class='quotetop'>(callymental)</div><div class='quotemain'><!--QuoteEBegin-->I have been trying to fix this on mine code 16.
Have been suggested to wd40 the contacts, and reconnect. There is a known fault in the wiring loom for this sensor. Will be putting mine back together later this evening, fingers crossed.<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Also, make sure its torqued up to the exact correct torque setting - they're very delicate in the way they work so it has to be spot on.
You're right though, the wiring gets screwed as it runs over the engine, gets hot, and breaks down.

did you disconnect the battery for 1/2 - 1 hour after you cleaned the connection, you need to do this to clear the fault code, try it after you have d/c'd the battery to make sure before you go ordering new sensors
