Headlight Problem

When driving at night on dipped beam, the headlights will sometimes start to flash onto main beam all by themself, also sounds like i can hear a "shorting type of noise" any ideas!

i'd guess somit's shorting
check the wiring behind the headlights then trace back if ya can

Could be your switch on your indicator stalk, get it replaced

common fault on vauxhalls i think.

I agree with Rob, almost certainly be the stalk.
