Once you have dipped HID's full beam just never gets used.

Not exactly silly but better to look at how one set works to start with as I very rarely use the full beam these days and tend to do a reasonable amount of dark driving on unlit roads.

I have had 8000k h.i.d's and found they were too blue for my liking so means one of the ballasts had gone i have just a new set of 6000k (complete kit) for 94quid......
My only suggestion would be try and find bulbs to match the hids and perhaps use them as that is what i will be doing in the future so they wont look out of place if you do have to use them.

I have put HIDs in my full beam on my Astra Coupe aswell as the dip beam. I have gone for 6000k in both, but think maybe 4300k would be better for the full beam as it less white and brighter. They do make a big difference though and in my Calibra the HID kit and clear headlight lenses was one of the best mods i did.

Well fitted the hid's today and placed the ballasts under the headlight unit, quite a snug fit. They look great and are V bright, opted for the 4300k. Only thing that bothers me though is that when I first switch on the lights I get a slight flash from both lights and then they settle down and get steadily brighter until they are at their brightest. Is this a common thing with hids or have I got a problem? Oh and I went for the £20 one's on ebay with £20 delivery so all in all not a bad deal, I think?
