lower temp radiator thermostat fan switch

by vaggelis00 » Tue Jul 07, 2009 7:30 pm

i want to replace the original radiator thermostat with one tha works from lower temps. my calibra is a c20let 4x4 turbo with A/C. until now i was not able to find a lower temp radiator thermostat. the problem i have is the A/C. if i use one from C20XE without A/C my A/C will not work. can you please give me some help??? my car is overheating with the current setup and here in Greece the weather is really hot

fuses and stuff are ok. when i change the thermo with a C20XE the A/C will not work. when i use again the old thermo everything works fine but the first sclae of the fan works at 105 degrees till 100 and the second where the problem is starts at 120 till 115

the bigger problem started when i fitter the intercooler at the gap of the front bumper. there is less cold air feed now. this why i need to find a lower rad fan switch

It's a 4x4 so it's always been a LET.

Not so sure the ECU decides what temp to switch the fan on, surely it's the switch.

it wont it'll be the temperature sensor running through the ecu that decides wen the fan is to kick in

Have you had to cut away the front bumper to fit the fmic? I did on mine and am now thinking i may cut it away some more so air can pass 'around' the fmic also. Is the standard FMIC still in place? if so removing it allows more air flow to get to the enigine.
