spec:
JVC Avx33 dvd head unit
sunvisor screens
ps2 with 12v-8.5v ps2 converter
4x pyle chopper components(225watts rms each)
2x kenwood kac ps 621 amps (1200 max)
1x kenwood kac ps 811d amp (1600 max... looking for a second if anyone knows of one!??)
1x 12" audioban immortal sub (2k rms, 4k peak)
2x 1.6 farad power caps
2x4 gauge wired for battery +ive to caps/amps, and 2 gauge from battery to ground, then 4 gauge from ground to caps/amps.
all amps are wired in a loop aswel.

I need a sufficient alternator, its got the 70 amp standard one, which is now fkked I think, its got a heavy duty battery that only just fits in,

its a 2.0 8v btw
any suggestions?
would the 120 amp alternator fit?
also is there anything better than that?

another thing, when u mute or turn volume off there is a hissing noise, how can I get rid of this, it does it when the engine isnt running aswel?

just need some carpet to finish it off!
tempted by the idea of cream leather!:P

Cheers guys and girls

Ref Hissing noise, first thing i thought of is do you have power and speaker leads on separate sides of the car?
I was always told to run power one side and speaker/amp leads the other.
Just a thought.

Cally man-
Yep the 2 main lives run through the middle of the car, then for the speakers, thers 16 gauge running to each, (brought a 25 meter reel and just had enough to do all 8 speekers(4 tweeters)

ref hissing yep the speaker lines need to be away from all power cables not just the amp power cable so check to see if you have any power lines near them at all other than that you will need a supressor that is more commonly used on older cars cost a couple of quid but do the job
