Any electrical issues

heater not working

by Burrman » Sun Nov 25, 2007 8:54 pm

Hi folks. Just bought my cally turbo yesterday :P . However there are some problems as its been garaged for two years without moving a muscle!!. One is that the heater was working, but buy the time i got home it had had stopped. It coincided with one of the water pipes splitting (water and steam spraying everywhere!), so i was wondering if water could have got into electrics or something??
All other electrics working fine though, and i also checked the fuse and its ok.

I presume you mean the heater fan, not the "heater" itself?
Which water hose went?

Yeah sorry, the heater fan. And it was the water hose that goes to the turbo.

Ahh.. well i doubt they are linked then.
when you checked the fuse, have you checked there is power at the fuse with a multimeter?

I've never actually known one of the fans to fail actually, the older vaux fans used to go all the time, they got stiff and eventually stopped.. when you switch it on do you see a drop in the lights or anything that suggests its showing any sign of life?
