ECU TYPE???

Hi Peeps,
Need to pick your brains. I'm currently helping out a friend who has a Cally turbo. We are suspecting a problem with the ECU itself. Problem I have is it's equipped with a Type HD ECU - Bosch Motronic 2.7. Is this correct. I thought that the only variations are PJ and PK ECU's for Motronic 2.7 and 2.8 respectively. Please help me clarify the various Cally turb options. Many thanks

That has put my mind at rest and clarified things for me. But it has raised another question? You say the HD has problems with uprated chips, Do you know it what respect?? Reason being is that the current ECU is running performance chips but is giving some weird ECT and ACT readings!! Does this sound familiar

Do you know if the two chips are interchangable between different ecus bud? Reason being I can lay my hands on a set of standard chips from a PJ ecu but not anything newer. Thought it would be a good way of seeing if the chips are affecting the HD ecu, if I could revert to standard chips??
