Doms (almost) complete tutorial on using relays including di

Well I've spent a couple of hours doing a writeup of the most commonly asked questions on how to wire up and use relays.

Included are relay basics, headlight wiring upgrades, electric window/seat control diagrams and others.

Worth a look if you're a little unsure on how relays work.

Aye - will amend that in a minute. I've got a couple of screaming kids in the background so got a bit distracted lmao

All the diagrams for the relays are driven from normal switches - if you plan to drive the relay by electronic means then you'd normally use a transistor anyway and would put a suppresion diode across the coil.

Did you know that using Zener diodes across the coil causes the relay to turn off more quickly while still limiting the voltage spike ?
