No ECU light!

OK so after reading about everyone's problems with engine warning light coming on, I thought I must be the luckiest person alive!! BUT, then I discovered that mine actually doesn't come on at all, even when I first turn on the ignition, is there a fuse for this light, or is there more chance that the previous owner removed the globe??

I think there's one fuse for all of the dash lights, more likely that the bulb has gone though. If the light was on and the previous owner had removed it to disguise the fact, your car would be limited to 4500 rpm by the ECU.

I Would Say The Bulb Has Either Blown Or Been Removed.
