so how will you convert in to 4x4? will the prop and transfer box fit with the 2wd floor pan? as i'm guessing your not cutting out the floor!

thats the fun part ...finding out once we get started we will see if its needing parts cut out welded in :D

ooooooohhhh im having flash backs of when i did the v6, good luck with it mate,
are you going to remove the heater matrix box and , and do you know that there are two long 8mm bolts in the engine bay at the bulk head just under the steering rack which holds it in aswell as the ones at the top? as this caught me out

i just thought that the bulkheads might be different , incase there was welding needed in that general area :D

yee i will be cutting and welding the foor pan but as fraz says im not sure the exact amount as yet, but cant see it being to much of a prob, im more worried about this wireing loom thats in front of us :banging:

steve mate would it not be easier just to swapp the looms over aswell that would save cutting and splicing of wires?

well men of your calibre wont find it hard mate once you get started it will be a sinch, as that is what i did on the v6

What a weekend
4x4 wiring loom fitted
thats the tunnel cut out the donor car
the se2 tunnel cut out
rear axel removed
new 4x4 axel with new bushes ect and suspension all fitted
accumulator bulb and bracket removed and re fitted
fuel tank removed and refitted
front 5 stud struts new spring and shocks
4x4 subframe fitted
turbo engine serviced and timing belt/water pump
track rod ends fitted
and if that wasn't enough we did some small engine mods to the drain for the RR day

just need to weld tunnel back in and fit engine so shouldn't be to long with that. ill get pics up tomorrow as I'm going to ma bed now
