Its no good. I can resist temptation no longer. After much thought about a project I want a Calibra turbo. The Astra coupe will be going up for sale at the weekend. So the hunt begins to find a Calibra turbo!

I've already messaged the guy Andy. Waiting a reply. But yes it certainly seems worth a look.

Well I've found one a lot quicker than I thought I would. As most of you already know I went to Bradford yesterday to look at one and I ended up buying it.

It's generally in good condition and wants tidying up and some cosmetic work. I won't really know the full extent of everything until I get it home at end of the week and take it to work and get it over a pit.

If the 4x4 is working then you're half way there mate.

Do you know the age of the accumulator bulb?

IF you need one then these on ebay are the same as CAV16 ones

The 4x4 was working when I took it for a test drive. When I looked through the receipts it was changed in 2006. So it will be one of the first things I change. Thanks for that Andy it will save me some money as I was going to get one from CAV16.

The plan is to remove the badges a added on spot lights on the front and eventually replace the bumper with an original that didn't have the 'V' grill.

Thanks Mark. I don't know, there's too many for a start. I will be taking them all off and starting again with new ones as most of them are pitted and faded.

Well she's home.

Image

Got a list of things to do:
Replace accumulator bulb
Sort the badges out
Remove the spot/fog lights that have been added on
Clean up/ repair interior
Source and fit original air box
Get it in for an MOT at end of July

Well that's just to start with for now I will get a project thread going when I get started. Just going to enjoy driving it through the summer then get it into the body shop over the winter.
