TV advice

I'm looking for a new tv for my bedroom.

Not really had a chance to look into them but im thinking this samsung from the reviews i've seen at 40" http://www.johnlewis.com/231554181/Product.aspx

Seems to be quite a big jump in price up to the 46" or 55" of the same model and tbh much more than I wanted to spend. So do I stick with the 40" or go with potentially less features and quality for a bigger model or can anyone advise any alternatives

I've always been a Sony fan although they had a Sony rep in John Lewis and in not so many words he preferred the features of the Samsung although the picture quality does look really good on the Sony. Also swaying towards the 46" now as the 40" looks tiny against it, the 55" is mahoosive
