well yet more good luck

by Fraz » Sun Mar 11, 2012 6:27 pm

been at this floor/hall for what seems ages now ...and today was busy scrapping off all the old varnish when I get a knock at the door

Guy says to me you know you have left your lights on your car...so say thank you go get the keys thinking son who used it yesterday has left the indeicator on and it just the parking light on

so goes out and notice the drivers door is wee bit open.....and there is the contents of the glove box all over the seats

so some wee tow rag has rummaged about the car last night and they managed to leave the side lights on ...no doubt after ripping the display off for the parrot handsfree which was mounted close to there ...why they took that though as without the rest of it it is no use and that is all they took left the stereo and even a few quid in change I had in there ...can only think that they got scared when the security light came on and the just grabbed the first thing they thought of

and I think son forgot to lock it as well as there is no damge other than the parrot gone

oh well seems it my year fr the bad luck

yup still at it though at least I have a floor in the hall now ...but the atrex on the ceiling has gone, though found more under the wallpaper ...so thats now gone as well

just got the varnish to get rid off on the upstairs hall now and then start sanding and then get the wall paper up and painted

Oh and the police have been now and told me quite a fe wcars got broken into last night ...smashed windows so maybe Craig leaving it unocked was a good thing as no damage other than they ripped the parrot display off

and now even more good news

today letter comes in from the home insurance company..saying I had started a claim and then cancelled for woodworm in the house (no I got as far as a phone call only to be told they do not cover me for that)

they now wish to have a certificate to prove that this was treated and dealt with ..or they will refuse to insure the house, and no doubt that will mean I can not get another company as well

cant call to Monday ...and I can't supply any such certificate as I did it all myself, and It is now covered in floor tiles so they cant even send someone to inspect it ...unless they want me to rip it all up again ...doing my head in this, and the best bit is they are the ones who say they do not cover me for woodworm so why do I need to prove its treated
