Kenny, that's a bit gloomy but I guess you're right. I personally can't stand any form of IM as I hate the demands it places on time. I like being able to time-shift all my interactions.

i was going to say what stupink has already posted up, as the show season starts sites like these tend to pick up again, people look to do work through the winter and just end up looking for info and how to guides.

IMHO a very bad idea that would and is having the opposite effect.

I think having all the technical sections 'log-in only' is losing this site a lot of traffic from existing and potential new members.

Being pro-active on other major Vaux forums would help - there are likely a fair few forum using Calibra owners who have simply never heard of .NET.

Also the site homepage doesn't really invite further exploration. Little new, updated content, what little there is being 'below the fold' i.e. you have to scroll to see it - a major marketing no-no.

Being able to embed video and more advanced digital media offerings ( slideshows etc) in forum posts would be a major step forward too.

i keep having differeculties trying to get access to the forum during the day at work, always used to get on and sometimes it doesnt work for a couple of times and then it works.
