v6 problems SOS

my dads v6 wouldnt start today thinking it was something daft i checked all the basic stuff battery fuel air then thought well its turning over but doesnt seem to be getting a spark so i pulled out the 1st 3 ht leads 2,4,6 i think and found they were full of oil which cant be good does anyone know what has happend here

Sounds like the rocker cover gasket is leaking. I had the same problem with mine just that it was the ht leads at the back.

get they plastic covers changed to a set of vectra v6 metal ones. that will solve the problem

Daz the oil wont be the reason it wont start.
When it's cranking does the Management light flash?

It means the immobiliser is kicking in, as the sensor (inside steering cowling) cannot detect the chip in the key.

by the way daz i ment the metal cam covers will solve the oil in the plug wells, sorry if this caused any confusion :oops:

check the eml as Andy says, also do a paper clip test :mrgreen:

I know carbon is conductive on its own. But then if you rearrange the molecules its can be either a conductor or an insulator. If i remember back to my science lessons lol

the battery is brand new full of charge checked that we do have fuel pressure not done a paper clip test yet but the management light isnt on and it turning over slow oh and the oil jet black
