i agree with you mate , and its like you say what happened to all the blockades , i guess now its a question of jobs and people not wanting to lose there jobs ,trouble is v6 /turbo owners are gonna find it hard soon and we will have to go lower classes.
Ive heard on the grapevine that in 3 mths time we could be paying 1.50 a litre , if everyone boycotted bp etc that might work .

Re: enough is enough, petrol prices a joke
their trying to tax people off the roads and its total s**t. i need my car to get to my work as puplic transport doesnt come up our way early enough for me to get to my work on time. and to be fair i'm not much cheaper using the bus because of the distance i travel.
it is a sorry state of affairs we're in and its only going to get worse unless we stand up and make our voices heard.
if the prices get any worse it may come to the point where i may need to get shot of the v6 which is something that i just dont want to do. but the sad reality is thats what looks likely to happen

Re: enough is enough, petrol prices a joke
Food might not be taxed but the companies that make it deliver and sell it all pay VAT so they will have to put the price's up, so in a round about way there will be vat on food already,
this Kingdom (haha) is F****d iv had to shut my business last year because of the way the economy has gone and there will be alot more that shut down this year so there will be less money for the government and more money going out its only going to get worse,
i started a thread over a year ago about fuel and said we had to do something like not using one fuel seller ( esso shell etc) now if everyone stopped using one company that company would need to do something to get custom, they would drop prices, then everyone would use it and the others would have to do the same to get there custom back, we need to force them into a price war
its up to us not to just lie down and take this s**t any more
right rant over back on to ebay see if i can find a 1L engine for the Drain

Calibra fuel tank is 63 ltrs / 13.9 Imp gal which is around the average for most cars, don't really make much difference what size your fuel tank is as its all about what we are having to pay to use our cars.

Why would you think mine is a monster ?
Its actually the same size as the cally 63 ltrs, as i said previously most cars average tanks are around that size, What does the size of a fuel tank have to do with the cost of a litre of fuel when its all comes down to how much you use ?

Re: enough is enough, petrol prices a joke
to be honest i think the last time this happened the haulage companys must have struck up some sort of deal with the goverment.
the truckers were one of the first to complain about the fuel prices but there has not been any complaints with the recent price increases.
i reckon before the end of this year this country with be on its knees. and the fact that the vat is now at 20% how do they expect people to live, because i know most people will not have had a wage rise over the past 2 years to keep up with the rate of inflation.
yet we bail the banks out and still the greedy f*ckers are still getting big fat bonuses. what a kick in the f*cking nuts that is.
