Cheers Baz, had a good look at the Treks last week and think im gonna get one. Hadnt really considered them but you can custom build them on there website to your own spec which should be ideal.

https://www.trekbikes.com/uk/en/projectone/

Just need to see if I can source a discount through the cycle to work scheme now

They run a cycle to work scheme at my place. The allowance only goes up to a grand though, anything on top you have to pay the rest your self. The bike has to purchased from Halfords with mine though.

I got this last year; http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stor ... yId_165499

Never actuallt used it to bike to work though

Yea apparently you get a lot of bike for your money with the boardman bikes. Suprised that Halfrauds managed to get sole rights to selling them though. Most companies seem to limit the scheme to £1k but some dont so might have to pull a few strings. Would be able to get a £4k bike then for the same price.

Yeah its a good bike and I enjoy riding it in the summer. I think Halfrauds had some sort of sponsorship type deal going with the company I work for so got sole rights. Its deffinately worth doing as its all tax and NI free and I managed to persuade my local Halfrauds to chuck in some free stuff :)

After looking at a load of bikes I finally got a Trek last week. Its a Project One Madone, full carbon fibre with the odd bit of titanium thrown in for good measure. Entered a local Bikeathon last weekend for a test run, the only real competition fell off his bike trying to keep up pmsl. Doing a ride in London this weekend, hopefully wont be too wet :|

I wont mention how much it cost but well happy with it so far
