Calibra snow-mobile
I know I am tempting fate but the Cali seems a nice car in the snow...guess it is just the combination of front wheel drive and the weight of the V6 over the front wheels..not sure if it is better with traction control on or off...but certainly better than the wife's 1.8 cavalier...
Also couldnt help notice that BMWs and Mercs seem to have disappeared from the roads..presumably they have to hibernate in cold weather..reminds me of trying to get off work site in a snow storm in Welwyn about 8 years ago .. the roadside ditch was choc a bloc with BMWs and Mercs (and sad looking senior people)...I didnt stop to help... but nearly ran over a motorbike that someone had left lying in the centre lane of the A1. in 6 inches of the white stuff.

Most Front wheel drive cars are useful in the snow, narrow tyres are better too.
Ive not had the turbo out this time but have used Janes polo, and ive not spun or skidded (unless i was having a laff) anywhere and ive been up and down hills out in the sticks with no problems.

Don't know what mines like as it never goes out in the snow, got all the snow off the the cover today and she started first time, let her warm up and then put the cover back on. She's not coming out for at least 2 weeks.
Mark...........It's Red........It's a V6............It's an SE9!..............and She's bad.

It's ok in the snow, try not to let the ABS kick in though as it's crap on the Calibra lol
I prefer the TC off personally too, depends on how well you can judge what the wheels are doing without a flashing light.

Love mine in the snow!!!! No traction control and an LSD in the F28! The weight of the 3.2 give it plenty of traction!
