finally started to make our place our own...
Weve lived in our 2009 built one bedroom flat for two years now and hadnt done any decorating so we thought now would be the time to start with a more modern approach , we started with glass units with a 10 year old toshiba crt widescreen 28 inch tv with a dolby pro logic vhs video player and a 15 year old sony stereo.
Now weve made so much room in there now as we had a extra large dog cage in the front room for Taz for when we are out and he knows thats where he sleeps (like a baby normally) so we sort of took him out of view , rearanged the furniture and bought some new stuff and even got hold of a cheap carpet offcut for a fiver.
This is how it looked :

We decorated the largest wall with a Purple Pout Feature wall paint and Sugar lilac walls with the Kitchen finished in the same colour as the feature wall.
so we sort of took him out of view , rearanged the furniture and bought some new stuff and even got hold of a cheap carpet offcut for a fiver.Purchased a Panasonic Viera 42" LED Internet Ready/Full HD TV which we mounted with a flush fit bracket ,new Samsung DVD player/Home cinema kit (850watts) Oak New entertainment unit and sideboard and tidied up the wires.
Now for the new look:

I would buy some small stands and have them at ear level when sitting down

well the trouble is rob that where taz's cage where he sleeps and where he stays in when we are out is in one corner and tbh the living room door is so close to the edge of the wall so theres no room behind the door but failing that i could possiblly link them to the side of the room as far back as i can so that they are relatively close to the sofa and arm chair maybe that would work.

Baz, looks good mate.
Ref the Cables for the surround speakers, best way to keep them out of Taz's way it up and run along under the coving.

yeah mate very cosy to what it was i need to get a optical cable as im finding the rear and centre speakers are not working and ive been on the AV forums and apparently thats the problem and when ive got one of those because the carpet isnt a full one and i can run them underneath i will take the surround speakers and place them at the side of the room on both sides as far back as i can and not TAZ will touch them lol...
These days he loves mucking around with our 15 week old kitten who puts him in his place .

The optical cable is to connect the TV to the surround box.
