Long time..

by Dan Willis » Tue Jul 12, 2011 5:21 pm

Hi all,

As yet another Billing passes me by (and this year I have a good excuse; I got married that weekend) I thought I'd check in and see who's about.

Looks like Billing was successful again - and I might even come next year. It's been a long time since I've owned a Calibra (sadly) and I'm not even sure my old Turbo is in one piece any longer (or who owns it.. if anyone). Although, here's a pic of the Monaro (and my other toys). The only mod I've recently done is refurbished wheels (for the wedding.. best to be spick and span!).

The usual suspects still here?

Hello Dan and good to hear from you, and congrats on the marriage :)

I too don't own a cally anymore, gone down the BMW route and now have a 2003 E46 330ci MSport coupe 8-)

I think Tim bought your old tubby but we haven't heard from him in awhile.

Nice to see the Monaro 8)

Hi Dan, congrates on your wedding. Nice collection of toys you have. Maybe next year at Billing we should have old members with their new cars next to the members cars. Just a thought :)

Hi guys,

I'm also tempted to say "Awww shucks". Thanks for the welcome!

I'd have been at Billing this year had the wedding not been that weekend. When we booked it it seemed an okay date, and as it got closer it just so happened that the Foo Fighters played that weekend, Goodwood FoS was on.. and Billing. Typical eh? Mind you, we had a great day - and I got some professional photos of the Monaro in too (she was the wedding car, obviously!).

It's a shame my old Calibra has disappeared. I'd be tempted to buy it back now - I'm doing a alright these days and could probably finish it (my wife would literally kill me though).

Sounds good about the "old members" thing, but Billing is about Vauxhalls and CC is about Calibras. I'd love to turn up in one! I'd bring the Monaro though - it can probably hide out back and make lots of noise if necessary :)

Anyway, I'll hang around. It's been too long! I'll try to make one of those meet things soon. ;)
