driving vauxhall again.

For all general things Calibra related

driving vauxhall again.

Well as I probably said before, the calibras off the roads untill i have "spare" cash to spend on the needed parts to rebuild the final engine which is going in her, no more bodge engines, this ones being done properly now :) bored or doing rebuilds.

My trusty Festa was starting to get a bit too many miles on her, and the seats were getting soft meaning i was getting achy and grouchy sat in it all day. So i have bought a new car for work that I will also enjoy myself while the calibras off the road.

Astra Sri, 2L td,
factory upgrade 19", VXR bodykit, bluetooth, auto lights/wipers, remote alarm, tyre pressure monitors.

Handles and rides like a dream.. am most happy to be back in a griffin :)

The rear and front and side visibility is getting worse for all cars not just vaux, all crash test airbag related... more likely to have an accident but safe when you do lol.. encap should take into account visibility (assumign they dont already) and maybe we'd see an end to this stupid trend..

Some are poor outright, most what you can't see one place you can see another, just means you have to use mirrors a lot more now rather than being able to see directly where you're going. not ideal, but you can only work with that you got.. and as you say its all like it now..

they all love it though :D I dont think they notice things like that quite as much as we would being more experienced, and having driven older style cars with windows.. :shifty:

both my local rollers charge about 65quid a pop (dynodynamics), so I won't be entertaining that anytime soon. its nothing like my cally was, but its fun :) i will pop along to a RR day if we do one sometime though :)
