Wow! And my turbo was too expensive
Look at the price of this, and My 73000 Miles Turbo, in far better condition IMHO,wasn't worth £3K in peoples eyes,Thanks rant over lol!

Reading through its description - phase 3 but only 245bhp....is that right?? I thought phase 3 would be higher than that. Not doubting the seller, I just wanna put my own assumptions correct.

Re: Wow! And my turbo was too expensive
I have a lightly tuned setup with Wallace Evo 1 chip, same as Phase 2 and I have 250bhp,Phase 3 should be 270-80.

Re: Wow! And my turbo was too expensive
Phase 2 'can' see 280 on a very good day.
I'd estimate my PH2 is around 260 as I got 245 last year with a 12 year old std actuator. But as you say 245 on PH 3 is either a shot engine/turbo or the boost switch is playing up.

LMAO!
I know who owned this car. He contacted me when I had my SE5 up for sale.
Funny how it ended up!
Got good money for it though. I will get more for my LE when I sell it. Also because there are only 26 left. Well.....25 now!

LOL, not really the sort of thing you'd want to advertise then really.

Re: Wow! And my turbo was too expensive
Hey guys... was just browsing around the site and came across this thread, I was the one who bought it lots of issues while at the garage but worth it in the end.
Finally completed last week so thought i would give you some new pictures with remanufactured engine (XE convert). Running the engine in at the moment, so havent been able enjoy it fully .. and the tow eye cover is on now

Re: Wow! And my turbo was too expensive
looking good now, so what was the list of problems then
Re: Wow! And my turbo was too expensive
Hey Fraz,
NSF Hub was from a V6 ... lol
rear calipers were rusted around the pistons, and front ones had started to
Solid brake lines to rear were rusted and seized onto the hoses which were also seized on the calipers
Water pump on new engine turned out to be a plastic one and the propeller had snapped off
tracking was way out
new battery decided it didnt want to hold charge
IAT errors on ECU
turbo oil feed hose was corroded
and needs to go back for them to give me back my 6th gear and the exhaust bracket needs replacing hopefully get time to take it back this week
Plus the other things i added
FMIC, full roose motorsport hoses, 17" BBS alloys, EBC brakes, yellow braided brake hoses on the front(rears were wrong connectors), magnecor HT leads, boost gauge, oil temp gauge and fuel pressure gauge, TX and gearbox oil change and bulb change
probably a few other things but ive got a 3rd brake light for the spoiler and new black bonnet coming to me.
oh yes it was the fan switches which caused it to overheat when i drove it back from buy it

Re: Wow! And my turbo was too expensive
Welcome to the site mate. They engine bay looked really good in the ebay add, what went wrong?
More power than God
Re: Wow! And my turbo was too expensive
thanks guys,
well i havent actually finished with the engine bay, the yellow pipes have to stay now as they cost way too much to change, when i ordered them i was thinking about matching the DTM badges and because the coolant hose split as i opened the bonnet all over me when it overheated antifreeze taste for hours yuck! but was lucky i didnt get hurt
The green just came with the engine and I had to turn the tophat around so i could keep the A/C for the FMIC, i am considering trying some rubber based paint and spraying the boost pipes a matched green colour probably just go black tho with new pipes.
Its all down to personal preference i think i will like it yellow/black/silver
