my cally failed mot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

sad day yesterday ma cally failed on brakes,track rod end,lower ball joint,back springs,parking brake no operting properly,front wiper blades not clearing screen,exhaust missins are high!!
so need to start wi getting new disks n pads all round then the rest after argh!!!! think mot tester was having a bad day and took it out on my cally!!!!! :banging:

dont get it the shoes have been adjusted so that you can just feel them biting when you turn the back discs and i have fitted new handbrake cable and adjusted and still handbrake is away up high!!! :snooty:

but the back wheels lock tight wen on a hill and work fine so why did they fail??? well annoying!!!!

Probably too may *clicks* on the handbreak when applied, Have you tried adjusting the cable under the car ?

adjust the handbrake shoes in the drum and then adjust the cable

As the guys have said above, loosen the cable and set up the adjusters through the access hole in the drum, one side is easier to do than the other because of the shape of the teeth. If you dont know how to do it, removing the drum will give you an idea of how it works in there. Haynes manual does explain the process.

ive done that guys even taken discs off to adjust the shoes,gona check cable aswell
