Ready for my roadtrip!

As some of you may know, I'm heading down to Eastleigh tommorow to collect the two turbos that were for salle, including
Splinters old white one.So I've finally managed to get organised enough to collect both cars, no easy feat when your over 400 miles away, found a Zafira cheap with a towbar and I've rented a trailer aswell as borrowing another body to drive on on trade plates, all fueled up with al my tools and spare fluids etc leaving at 6am... wish me luck,,,,PICS ASAP

Are you referring to my green one? As I didn't build the engine before it went pop! Or splinters engine as I know it went a couple of times, if you pass me, give me a toot!

White one will be on a trailer l,so it won't pop! Not saying the zafira or other tubby will be trouble free

I would be more worried about towing a Calibra on a trailer ..with the max towing limit of a Zafira at around 1500lgs even less on some ...and a turbo Calibra around 1400Kgs

so unless you have a very light trailer your way over weight

Didn't have anything else to tow with, strictly speaking, yes it's overweight but physically it will do it!

its not the pulling its the stopping and when the back end steps out it will throw you all over the road have a safe trip

Been towing cars up and down from Dumfries twice a week using various vehicles, over or under weight for years never had any bother,I'm sure I'll be fine,be driving slow anyway

Well I'll put the calibra on a diet! Meant to be 85% of the weight of the towing vehicle, that would be quite a heavy vehicle, vans arnt particularly heavy and 4x4s imho are not necessarily better at towing,albeit legal when it comes to weight,used to use a grand Cherokee and that was crap,trailer used to snake everywhere! I'll let you guys know how it goes,

That's only guidance and not the law, but 150% is gonna be a fun trip home, hope its not too windy
