Failed first time on emmissions, i always fail on emmissions. Car eats cats like cornflakes, this is the 4th in 5 years .
Anyway got the garage to replace the cat this time so if it fails next year they can bloody
sort it out on the warranty

Its passed now so legal for another year

It had a very good run before the MOT, just at a loss wandering why the cats keep failing

had the same problem with the SE2...are they getting the car nice and warm before they do the test?? I presume they are doing the test at the end after the brakes (most do) I used to get them to do the emissions first just as I arrived passed every time that way

No idea when they do the cat cat test, although this garage usually fall over backwards to get my cars through the mots, they have even put hands full of putty on the exhaust before to get it through so i cant fault them. They have even prooved before now that some major tyre places have been fitting faulty cats to my car in the past
