Yep I did try the V grille but it looked s***e, the hole is the wrong shape, the Opel badge is mounted on a piece of trim designed to fit this bumper

After the problems with the rear bumper mouldings I managed to track down some genuine Irmscher ones, with a lot of help from a very friendly chap from Germany (not sure if he's a member on here yet) they arrived today:

Looking good,are you going to fit a splitter to the front bumper? Looks like its missing something on the front to me,just my opinion anyway

No, there's no room under the front bumper, even the standard black trims would get taken off on a speed bump

But when you see it up close or in your rear view mirror it looks the part the way it is! (the muts nuts)
