How low?

by James_Mould » Wed Feb 10, 2010 11:16 pm

I'm looking to lower my cally while im doing a few bits to it and then fit 17" rims in the future. I’m looking to fit a full kit and spend around £250 to £280.

Which is the best ride height with 17" wheels? I’ve seen kits anywhere between 35mm and 60mm drop.

Which in your opinion is the best kit to go for?

Any advice, help or suggestions would be very much appreciated :)

Hi mate,

There i a spax setup for sale in the for sale section around the price you want to pay.

I have spax on mine with 17" alloys and it lookes very good however is a little hard for a oldy like me so may have to get it adjusted a tad.

Sorry, I have corrected my post its supposed to say £250 to £280 I realise I wouldn't get anything of high quality for £150 to £180  Although I have just PM crazychick to see if they still have the kit as that would be a bargain!!

I've now got a Spax VSX suspension kit. Got it off someone at work who never got round to fitting it. Got it for £130. Gonna fit it this week but heard that the fronts are a pain to to do. :banging:

They aint that bad, its the ball joints that are a bit of a pain but with the right tools you will be dancin, (ball joint splitter) and a big pair of stilsons i found very handy for undoing the shocks :) Back is easy peasy!
