Jack hammer vibrations: Quick response!

Ok Gang!

I've got the car up on miniramps, but it can't stay long as they're on loan.

I've mentioned on multiple forums a "jackhammer" feeling as I turn into corners. This is on both sides, the NS more than FS.

The ARB links are spot on. No problems, knocked them, shook them, pulled/pushed, no movement or sign of excessive wear.

The wheels are out of balance and the brake disks are warped, however I'm confident this isn't the cause, as this gives a shudder rather than jackhammer.

I've got a whole heap of things I can poke which I've found after crawling under there.. what would you suggest I look for?

I don't know if these will help, but I'll throw them in anyway

1) where do I find them
2) what do they look like
3) would they actually cause that?

try the wheel bearings, get the wheel off the ground and look for excessive play in a vertical manner (shake the top and bottom) if it moves or shakes it could be the wheel bearings. Should be looked for ASAP as a dodgy wheel bearing has been known to shear off and wheels go flying.

No play in any wheel, though the fronts are slightly lower in inflation than I usually allow.

Have replacement front shocks in the Barn. That could be ok to replace.

Diff bearing - where would I find that, and would it affect both sides on cornering?

CV joints, where are they? - You'd be suprised at how mechanically stupid I am - so maybe I missed it?

If any pictures are required, ask. AS I'm literally led under the car typing away lol
