removing the rear hub
can anyone help me, Whats the best way to remove a rear hub as i am changing the back plates cos they have both gone and i have tryed to get the hubs off but thay will not move iv been at it all day

you will need to take the arms off and take them to a mechine shop too pull them out and press in new ones its not a job for the hamer and peice of wood

i managed to remove the nuts in situ and remove the bearings...well actually the bearing just pulled its inner race...i did end up droping axle as some nice person put the trailing arm bolts in the awkward way....so i just fitted a full axle from a late car.

the bolt for trailing arm was in from sill side.i got an axle for 40 quid complete with good back plates...which were 60 quid a pair at dealer.ended up putting the new mounting bushes in too which again were 60 quid the pair lol

iv got the back plates for £24.99 each from autovaux wakefield got to pick them up tomoz
